HISTORY HIGHLIGHT
Let's journey back to 1925 when the Blanshard Municipal Telephone System was just getting started. Imagine Marion Munro, the operator, managing calls on her vintage 58-hole Stromberg Carlson switchboard.
This switchboard had been in the same location in the Munro home at the southwest corner of the Medina intersection for the entire history of operator-assisted service in the area. It was retired in 1971, marking the end of an era.
